Bottle Top Necklace

I made my first bottle top necklaces this week to for my recruits at the regional seminar this weekend.  They are really quite easy to make!  I copied this idea from Tasha Schwecke.  I used our Soda Pop Tops found in the Spring Catalog.  For $3.95 you get 16.  8- 1" and 8- 1/2".

 

Wondering where the Stampin Up logo is from?  I cut it out from the back of the packaging that is on our designer series paper.  I used our hearts framelits for the heart using our red glimmer paper.  Once I had everything in place I put crystal effects on top of it all to give the glossy look.

I made a tag using our silver glimmer paper large oval punch, and decorative label punch. I started by punching the glimmer paper with our large oval punch, and then turning the decorative label punch up-side-down, I centered the punched out oval and punched the decorative label punch. I finished by punching out a Real Red piece using the decorative label punch and taped that to the back.

Here is the package.  Of course I needed to add a little chocolate!

I am thinking of making necklaces at Abigail's birthday party as a craft for the girls using different designer series paper and punches.

Sweet Threads

We are having a birthday party for my grandma's 85th birthday tomorrow.  I wanted to make sure we had a special card for her.  I had given Abigail the Sweet Threads Simply Sent kit as part of her Valentine gift so I thought that would be perfect!  Abigail made her first card today with it for grandma.

Valentine Party

My daughter and I decided to have a Valentine Party for the girls in her class this year.  We made these decorations using Hearts Collection Framelits.



Abigail made these chocolates and then she put them in a cello bag for each girl to take home.



We made 2 cards.  I love how the Glass Stampin Glitter really dresses up the card.  The girls punched out several little hearts, taped it on the Rose Red card stock, and then ran it through the big shot.  I used some retired ribbon to finish it off.  Kid projects are a great place to use ribbon I no longer use for my business:)

The second card is a 3X3 card using retired set Sweet Centers.  We sell the treat cups on page 161.  They come in a pack pf 12 for just $2.95.

Of course we had treats!

Memory Jar

        Happy New Year!

We have had a great last day of Christmas vacation.  I made Caramel Rolls for breakfast, and then we had fondue, popovers, and creme brulee for lunch.  During lunch we talked about highlights from this past year, and what we would like to work on this year.  I then introduced this Memory Jar that I made last night.  I got the idea from pinterest, and thought it would be great for us!  We will write on strips of paper fun memories throughout 2013 and then on next New Years, we will read all the great things that we did and that happened the precious year.  Charles said, "I already have one to put in right now, fondue with the family on New Years Day!"  It will be fun to watch the jar fill up.

Angry Bird Party

Today my youngest is 7!  Time sure flies!

Michael and I made this cake for Charles' family birthday party.  For this cake I used 2 cake mixes and filled a mini loaf pan (on the top) and the rest in a 9X13 pan.  One mix is not tall enough.  We made fondant for the top layer and to make the letters.  (they spelled Happy Birthday Charles around the edge of the cake.)

 

We made our own goody bag and cups.

I used a 1 3/8" circle and 1/2" circles to make the eyes on the cups and on the goody bags.  For the beak on the cups, I used the 1" square punch.  My punches sure come in handy!

 

Charles had fun picking out the big balloons at the party store.

I spray painted Easter Eggs so they could go on a "golden egg" hunt like in the Angry Birds game.  They had candy in them of course:)

Everyone had a blast launching water balloons at the "pigs"- Isaac and Abigail.

We had a friend party too, so this is the slightly smaller cake I made for it. I did not use Fondant this time, just frosting.

We sure had a fun time!  Now I am off party duty until February!

Angry Bird Banner

I made this banner for Charles' party using the Perfect Pennants Die.

 It was fun to get a little creative as I looked for punches that would help make the birds. 

I started with our 2 1/2" Circle Punch and then used 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1/2" punch and then just a standard whole punch for the black on the eye.  I cut little strips for the other black pieces.  The top feathers were made using the Boho Blossoms Punch that I trimmed a little.  For the beak I cut a 5/8" square and then cut diagnally. 

Charles was quite pleased with the finished project!  It is so nice to have all of my Stampin Up supplies when getting ready for parties!

Water Bottle Fun

For my meeting I wanted to have some fun water bottles for the demonstrators.  I took off the wrappers on a pack of waterbottles, and using sticky stip attached a strip of Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper.  You can see both sides of the paper by looking in the bottle.

I made a little drink packet holder and added another piece of Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper.  For the drink packet holder, I started with a piece of 2 1/4" X 8 1/2" piece of Daffodil Delight card stock.  I scored at 1 3/4" and 5 1/2".  I attached with our Mini Brads.  Our Simply Scored Scoring Tool makes scoring very easy!  If you do not own one, you should add it to your wish list!

These water bottles would be great for graduation parties, showers, birthdays, and much more!
