Stitched Stockings

I received a swap like this from Lyssa Zwolanek, and I knew I would use it in a class. This is one of the choices for the Build-A-Stack on Monday.  You could make it a thank you if you send out picture cards instead.

I used Stitched Stockings from the Holiday Mini Catalog and the coordinating punch- Stocking Builder Punch.  I made the texture using Petals A Plenty embossing folder.

Note Cards

Here are two of the note cards we will be making at my notecard class next Thursday.  I used the new Flower Garden Embossing Folder and then took a sanding block to sand off some of the color of the embossed area.  The greeting is from a new set in the Summer Mini Catalog called Happy Greetings.

For this note card I used The Open Sea a set from the Summer Mini and Baker's Twine which is also in the mini.  Can you tell I LOVE the new Mini catalog?

Make and Takes from Leadership

A highlight at any stamping event is the Make and Takes.  This year, Stampin Up! came up with some amazing projects!

This first project is a card Shelli's daughter Sarah taught us how to do using My Digital Studio.  They printed it for us, and we simply added ribbon to it. 

We made this card using Clearly For You, a new set from the Occasions Mini catalog.  We were given this set when we arrived.  I like how we crimped just the bottom of the card.

This is a case that the clear mount sets come in.  We sell them in the catalog.  We decorated the outside of it.  You can use them to give a set of cards or notebook.  Notice the key on the ribbon?  We used 4 keys on the different projects.  They are available in a pack of 4 in the mini catalog.  They come with jump rings and lobster clasps so the can easily clip on things.

My favorite thing we made were inserts for our Simply Adorned Jewlery.  They gave us a long chain and the 1.5 X 2" charm.  We made 3 inserts for it. I love that you only need to buy one charm, and can make many different inserts so it looks like a new necklace.  We used ribbon as a "chain" too.

Leadership Day 2

I have stated before that this year Stampin Up gave us so much!  One way they give out things is by colored pins that they give us when we check in.  They call out a color, and everyone with that color receives that product.  Karen Cooper received the new Take A Spin stamp set and the Game Spinner Hands. 

Stampin Up had this sample on display using this set.  The Pompom trim is available in our mini catalog.  You can get it in Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight.  The designer Series Paper is from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  Beginning January 25th you can get a pack free with a $50 order.

Jessica Taylor's color was called shortly after Karen's.  She won a few Items from our Sew Suite line in the Occasions Mini catalog. 

At the end they gave EVERYONE a pack of Designer Big Buttons, Some of the Designer Fabric Sweet Stitches, and the Level 2 hostess set in the Occasions Mini, Something to Celebrate.

In the evening we had make and takes.  They were the best Make and Takes we have ever made at an event.  I will show you them all tomorrow, but here is a look at one of them.  We made this pin using Springtime Vintage Designer Fabric, and the Bigz Die Fun Flowers.  This die is on the top of my wish list. 

While we were working on our make and takes, Pam Morgan Vice President and part of Demonstrator Relations for Stampin Up, came up to Wendy to see what she had been knitting.

She had been making socks.  I love how Stampin Up employees are so down to earth and are truely interested in us.  They are an amazing company to work for!

Here is the inside.  I used the ornament punch to create a window.  The ribbon is our 1/8" ribbon which is new this year.

Make and Takes

Make and Takes are always a fun time of any event!  We were all given the Vintage Vogue set as we came.  I just designed a cute card with it today for my Stamp-A-Stack next week. 

It is fun to visit as we make cards that we did not have to prepare!

A Scrapbook page for a 5X7 picture

This set is available till the end of April, and then Stampin Up has decided to put it in the new catalog coming in July.

Big Shot Class Cards

We made 3 cards at the Big Shot class.  Here are 2 of them. this first card is my favorite.

This next card I received in a card exchange from one of the demonstrators in my downline.  I am sorry that I do not remember who!  Please comment if it was you.  I love this one, and am working on shower invitations using this same design.

This card used Stampin' Up! Backgrounds I Texturz Plates for the Big Shot, and The Simple Flower Embosslit Die.  They are both found on page 195 of the Idea Book & Catalog.  The 1/2 pearls are in the Pretties kit found on page 178.
