I had a stamp-a-stack today and we used the Sale-A-Bration set Good Neighbor.  We also used the Designer Series Paper Pad Welcome Neighbor.  Both of them are items you can earn FREE with a $50 order.  There are so many things to choose from with a $50 order!

My samples showed 2 different orientations for the card.

For this station I set out many different options of paper and ribbon.  I used in-colors and Old Olive.  

It was fun to see all the color combinations that people put together.  This card below was made by Bettye W.  She took the same pieces and made it different.  I love it!

Stampin Up's Haitian Relief Effort

There are just a few days left to participate in Stampin′ Up!’s Haitian relief efforts! Until February 28, 2010, Stampin′ Up! is setting aside $2 from the sale of select stamp sets to be donated to the American Red Cross’ Haiti Relief and Development Fund. So far, demonstrators around the world have sold 11,895 sets, which equates to over $20,000 to be donated to this fund--but don’t stop now!  There are still six days left to participate in this effort.

This card uses shimmer paint directly on the stamp, and then mixed with Alcohol to make a mist to spray on the ribbon.

Random Acts of Kindness Week

Did you know there is a Random Acts of Kindness Week?  Well this week is it!  I saw it on my friend Jessica's blog, and then googled it.  There is actually  a Random Acts of Kindness Foundation!

Wikipedia definition  A random act of kindness is a selfless act performed by a person or persons wishing to either assist or cheer up an individual or in some cases an animal. There will generally be no reason other than to make people smile, or be happier. Either spontaneous or planned in advance, random acts of kindness are encouraged by various communities. An oft-cited example of a random act of kindness is, when paying the toll at a toll booth on a highway, to pay the toll for the vehicle behind you as well.

Elegant Bouquet

I love the Elegant Bouquet Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  We made this card last month at my Stamp-A-Stack.  I copied the idea from Cindy Russell.  I applied color to it with pastels using q-tips to get it on. 

Last week I received a card from Jessica Taylor using the same folder.  

I love how easy it is to make a quick elegant card using the folder!

This first card is from JoAnne Roehm.  She used the Hostess Level 1 set Picture This from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I love the little hearts in the middle.

Linda Babler sent me this card.  She used the Pinking Hearts Boarder and Sending Love Specialty Paper, Scallop Heart of Hearts Embosslits Die, and Small Heart Punch from the Ocassions Mini.  So many fun new products!

Valentine Card

I saw this card on my friend, Jessica Taylor's blog, and had to make it at my hostess club.  I love it!!!

It uses the new Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder for the Big Shot.  

We used the Circle Scissors Plus to cut out the center.
